i've been meaning to update my journal for a week and i just never got around to it. people are always saying that there won't be time to update during the school year and i always thought that was kind of untrue but this year i'm just too busy. heads up: i'll be doing a grey's anatomy fanmix/wallpapers post sometime in the next three days. i just have to upload the songs.
school is back. i have a feeling this will be my favourite year of high school. everything seems way better, i actually like all my classes this semester, which is like a miracle for me. wanna mention that they are all upstairs this time, so no running up and down the stairs to get to the next class. i decided to share a locker with andrea this year. i never used my locker last year so i find it useless that the school waste a locker on me.
art is so different this year. it's less focused on actual assignments (even though we still have sketchbook assignments on the side) and more focused on themes. my theme for the next few weeks is the number three. seems odd right? basically we have to come up with a bunch of things to do with the theme and then do a project with the medium of our choice. i've thought about it and i think i want to do something related to the idea of having it all and trying to fix everything to make it just right. since i'm mildly bored of the regular old mediums from the studio (prismas, pastels, charcoal/conté, etc), i've decided to mix it up and use all of the mediums stated to make a bunch of mini-drawings. i figure i'll scan those and do something with them in photoshop. sounds good no? as for pyschology, which is paired up with anthropology and sociology to make one super social sciences course, i'm really enjoying it. we're learning about behaviorism right now and most of it actually seems to make a lot of sense. i might go into psychology when i'm older. first order of business would be to book appointments for my whole family, no joke. it's a really interesting course. everyone i hang out with is in that class so it's fun. math is...math, so nothing to say about that. to end off the day i have web development and internet research, which is kind of boring because we learn about things i've known since i was way younger. you would think that knowing this stuff would make me participate more in class, but it just makes it tedious and repetitive. anyways, now onto the actual joy of my life...tv!
who else saw prison break? the first 25 minutes or so really dragged on but it redeemed itself with that amazing ending. i love the idea of this season, it feels like season one but completely reversed. lincoln telling michael to break this guy out of jail? what has the world come to. i'm really uninterested in the whole whistler/michael storyline. i like the idea of sona but it's just so boring on screen. season two was a lot better cause of the different settings. anyways, i'll continue to watch this season. i'm hoping this will be the last one. gossip girl's series premiere was good. it reminded me a lot of the oc. it feels like the wb's old shows, which is the best possible news for the cw. after cancelling veronica mars, i didn't think they could redeem themselves but they did with this show. it's really good.
anyways, i have piles of homework sitting around, waiting to be touched. so i'm out.
